The Story of Eternal Peace

Honoring Life Through the Art of Cremation Glass

Eternal Peace was founded in 2025 with a heartfelt mission: to help people honor the lives of those they’ve lost through the healing power of glass art. By transforming cremation ashes into handcrafted keepsakes, we offer a deeply personal way to celebrate life, love, and legacy—through beauty that lasts forever.

But the roots of Eternal Peace run far deeper than the company itself.

It began in 2005, when master glassblower Steve Kelnhofer first explored the idea of infusing cremation ashes into molten glass. It was uncharted territory—an artistic experiment with profound emotional impact. Steve wasn’t just making art; he was creating comfort, healing, and remembrance.

As he worked with families from all walks of life, he realized that each marble or sculpture wasn’t simply glass—it was a sacred connection. It helped people through grief. It helped them remember. It gave them peace.

Over the years, Steve continued to refine the process, developing new techniques and styles that could capture emotion, memory, and meaning in every swirl of color and ash. From small handheld marbles to larger display pieces, each work was infused with love, care, and deep respect.

“Many of the samples I’ve made were created with my father’s ashes,” Steve shares. “Every time I make one, I think of another good memory with him. It’s helped me let go of the painful ones, because nothing good comes from holding onto those. This process has allowed me to heal—and I want others to experience that too.”

Today, Eternal Peace works in partnership with the talented glass artists of Elev8 Premier to offer a wide and evolving collection of cremation glass memorials—each one crafted with intention, skill, and soul. No two are ever alike. Because no two lives are.

Whether the ashes belong to a parent, a partner, or a cherished pet, each piece is treated with the utmost care.

“I treat every marble as if it were made for my own father or mother. That’s how much this matters to me. I even love learning a little about the person or pet whose ashes I’m working with. It helps me feel connected—it becomes more than just glass. It becomes their story.”

Among our signature designs are:

  • The Vortex Marble – A breathtaking swirl that represents the intertwining journey of life. With every curve and color, it reflects the complexity, motion, and eternal nature of our human experience.

  • The Flower Marble – A radiant bloom frozen in time, celebrating the sheer beauty of life. It honors the joy, color, and warmth that your loved one brought into the world.

  • The Super Marble – A combination of vortex and flower, capturing both the journey and the bloom—a tribute to the full circle of life.

And for those who have lost beloved pets, Eternal Peace offers something equally powerful.

“I’ve put my own pets into marbles so I can remember them forever. There’s something healing about being able to hold that memory in your hand, to carry it with you. Pets are family too—and they deserve to be remembered just as beautifully.”

Eternal Peace also believes that remembrance should be accessible to everyone, no matter the budget or background.

“I was raised by a mother who sometimes worked three jobs just to keep us afloat. I know what it means to stretch a dollar. That’s why we offer a wide range of memorial options—from our affordable Eternal Release marbles to large 6-inch statement pieces. Whether you’re memorializing one person or a whole family, we have something meaningful for you.”

And for those who want to be part of the process, our studio is open to you. Families can join us in person to witness the transformation of ashes into art, side-by-side with a glassblower. This sacred moment often becomes part of the healing, as grief transforms into creation.

At Eternal Peace, we don’t just make art.
We honor lives.
We tell stories.
We preserve legacies.

Because remembrance should be more than a box on a shelf. It should be beautiful. Personal. Eternal.
