FAQ

Cremation Glass FAQ

Every cremation glass piece we make is handcrafted in Colorado and infused with real cremation ashes. This page answers the most common questions families ask when they are considering cremation glass memorials for their loved one or pet.

General Questions About Cremation Glass

What Is Cremation Glass And How Does It Work?

Cremation glass is made by carefully mixing a small amount of cremation ashes into molten glass that is over 2,000 degrees in temperature. As the glass is shaped, the ashes become a permanent part of the piece and create soft, organic patterns that are unique to each memorial. Your loved one’s ashes never sit on the surface. They are fully encased and protected inside the glass forever.

How Much Cremation Ash Is Needed?

We only need about a tablespoon or less of ashes per item. If you are ordering several pieces, it is always better to send a little more so we have what we need to complete your project without delay. We treat every shipment with care and respect, and all unused ashes are returned to you when the project is completed.

Can You Make Cremation Glass For Both People And Pets?

Yes. We regularly create cremation glass memorials for both people and pets. The process is exactly the same, and we bring the same level of care, intention, and respect to every single piece, no matter who it is for.

What Types Of Cremation Glass Memorials Do You Offer?

We offer a wide range of cremation glass memorials, including marbles, Eternal Release marble sets, crosses, pendants, drinking glasses, keepsakes, glass pipes, guitar picks, specialty sculptures, and more. Many of our pieces can be customized with colors or forms that reflect the personality, hobbies, or spirit of your loved one.

You can explore our options in the Eternal Release Marble Sets section or through our Cremation Glass Services.

Can Multiple Family Members Share One Set Of Ashes?

Absolutely. This is one of the biggest advantages of cremation glass. From a single set of ashes, we can create multiple marbles, pendants, or keepsakes so that many family members and friends can each hold a piece of the memorial. Our Eternal Release Marble Sets are designed specifically for sharing.

How Durable Are Cremation Glass Pieces?

Our cremation glass is made from borosilicate glass, which is known for its strength and durability. It is the same type of glass used in high-quality laboratory and kitchen glassware. It can handle normal handling, temperature changes, and everyday display.

We still recommend treating your memorial like a special piece of art. Avoid dropping it on hard surfaces, and place outdoor pieces where they are not likely to be knocked over.

Ordering, Shipping, And Timing

How Do I Place An Order For Cremation Glass?

You can place an order directly through our website by choosing the cremation glass piece you would like and completing checkout. If you prefer a more personal touch, you can also call us at 719-270-1646 or email us at customercare@eternalpeacememorial.com and we can walk you through the options.

How Do I Send The Ashes Safely?

After you place your order, mail us about 1 table spoon of ashes per piece of work. In most cases, you will place the measured ashes in a small, well-sealed container or ziplock bag, cushion it in a box, and ship it according to the guidelines we provide. We recommend using a trackable shipping method so that you can follow your loved one’s journey to our studio.

How Long Does It Take To Receive My Cremation Glass?

Most cremation glass orders are completed and ready to ship within a few weeks after we receive the ashes. Timing can vary based on the complexity of the piece and our current studio schedule. If you have a specific date in mind, such as a birthday or memorial gathering, let us know and we will do our best to work with your timeline.

Will You Return Any Unused Ashes?

Yes. We respect every bit of what you send. We only use what is needed to complete your cremation glass pieces. Any remaining ashes are carefully packaged and returned to you with your finished memorials.

Can I Request Custom Colors Or Designs?

Yes. Many of our cremation glass pieces can be customized to reflect a favorite color, sports team, hobby, or personality. We can talk through color palettes, styles, and even specialty shapes like crosses, pipes, pendants, and even glass guitar picks. If you have an idea, reach out and we will let you know what is possible.

Eternal Release Marble Questions

What Does The Number On An Eternal Release Marble Mean?

The number on an Eternal Release marble is a unique identifier that connects that marble to a specific person in our Eternal Release Tracker. When someone finds or receives a marble, they can enter the number into the tracker and see who it honors, read their story, and even add a note about where the marble has traveled.

You can learn more and look up marble numbers in the Eternal Release Tracker.

What Is An Eternal Release Marble Set?

An Eternal Release Marble Set is a group of ten small cremation glass marbles, each infused with a portion of cremation ashes. They are designed to be shared with family and friends or placed in meaningful locations like gardens, trails, favorite hangouts, or special travel spots. Many families love the idea that their loved one can continue a journey through the people and places that mattered most.  With our added bonus of number engraving, you can see the journey the marble takes, leave comments and have others leave comments.

Are Eternal Release Marbles Weatherproof And Safe Outdoors?

Yes. Our Eternal Release marbles are made from borosilicate glass, which is highly resistant to heat, cold, and moisture. They are suitable for outdoor placement. Over time, they can pick up natural wear just like any stone or glass object in nature, but the ashes remain safely sealed inside the marble.

Care, Quality, And What Makes Eternal Peace Different

How Do I Care For My Cremation Glass Memorial?

Cremation glass is low-maintenance. You can gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed. Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface. For display pieces, place them where they will not be easily knocked over. For marbles and smaller keepsakes, consider bowls, stands, or display bases to keep them safe and visible.

What Makes Eternal Peace Different From Other Cremation Glass Makers?

Eternal Peace grew out of a very personal journey. Our founder has lost a father and several beloved pets, and he began making cremation glass first for his own family. We treat every piece as if it were made for our own parents or companions. We read the stories you share, sit with them, and bring that energy into the glass.

Every memorial is hand-blown in Colorado, one order at a time. We never mix ashes between families. We are here to answer questions, listen to your story, and help you create a memorial that actually feels like your person or pet.

How cremation glass helps with the healing process

Families often tell us that cremation glass brings comfort in a way they did not expect. The act of choosing colors, designs, and forms turns grief into a creative moment. Holding a piece infused with ashes feels grounding, like a part of your loved one is truly with you. Because every memorial is handcrafted one at a time, the personality and story of the person naturally become part of the artwork. Many families say their cremation glass becomes the item they reach for during difficult moments and the piece they show others when sharing memories.
